Rachelle is extremely disciplined. She is not your traditional rough around your edges mercenary but is instead a dedicated and disciplined soldier. She has a strong code of ethics and there are many things she will not do. These include that she will not raid or murder civilians, she is loth in the extreme to kill an unarmed opponent, will not break an oath, and will do almost anything to protect a true friend.

She does not completely trust D-Bees and magic using beings but has not hatred of them. Generally she fears the more powerful supernatural creature. She does not hate the Coalition but has never considered joining them. She would never be more than cannon fodder for them. She also has no problem fighting against them and simply considers them to be another opponent.

She is a very clean and neat type of person who keeps her uniforms and herself immaculate at all time. Even when not in uniform, she tries to keep her appearance. This does not mean that she is not human and does not like to have fun.

She likes the company of men as much as other women do. At present, she does not wish to marry or start a family but has not discounted it for the future. She also does not want to be simply a housewife and let a man rule her life and any relationship will be on her terms.

Appearance:

Rachelle is about average height for a woman and is a bit shorter than most female mercenaries. She looks like she could be between eighteen and twenty and is very attractive. She is not especially muscular but is not weak and is athletic. She has an obviously female figure. She has black hair which she wears short often with a bun on top which never seems to get disarrayed even when she has been wearing a helmet. She has fairly dark Caucasian skin and looks like she might have a bit of Spanish blood in her. She has blue green eyes and she wears dark eye liner and eye highlight. She wears just a bit of blush but prefers he lips a bright red. Her nails are of medium length which she sometimes has them natural but other times has them black.

When she is in uniform, her uniforms are always perfectly tailored showing her figure but an obvious care for her uniforms as well. Her uniforms are perfectly regulation. Her regular clothing are as carefully tailored as her uniforms and she prefers to wear clothing that shows her figure.

Character Background:


Rachelle was born Michelle Randal in a small mid western farming community in what was once the Old American Empire State of Kansas. Her father was a farmer like most of the residents and was very poor. Rachelle was the youngest of eight children and had little as a child. She had to make all of her clothes and learned the other domestic skills at a young age. Several times during her childhood, she saw soldiers and mercenaries stop in her village and they seemed incredibly rich to her. She greatly looked up to them and decided that she would become one when she got older. This solidified as she got older when her mother died and all she had was drudgery from day to day. If she was to stay in the village, the best she could expect herself was to become the wife of a farmer. While many other girls in the village were satisfied with this, she was not.


When Rachelle was fifteen, she finally made her escape. She stowed away in a cargo transport bringing produce to one of the larger towns in the area. The town also hosted a small mercenary company which also acted as the protector of most of the local area. They fought bandits and D-Bees which attempted to raid the farms and small towns. She started as a simple soldier with minimal training armed with a L-20 Rifle and only protected by Plastic Man Armor. She might otherwise be known as cannon fodder but unlike most, she survived. She always showed a perfect image and carefully tailored her uniforms but was not as physically tough as many of the other soldiers. She inherited another soldier’s power armor, a Chipwell Assault Suit, and learned to pilot the armor. It gave much better protection than body armor but she never really liked it due to its limited mobility and cheap construction. She served with the company for about a year but decided to leave for better opportunities.


She joined the Mercenary Company “Wolfe’s Brigade” but found herself in a very bad situation. They sounded like a top notch mercenary company but were in reality little more than well equipped bandits. While she did not want to be a farmer, she did have strong morals and there was certain things she would not do. She survived as best she could while she was with the company. She talked one of the officers into letting her train in the piloting of a SAMAS. She fired two mini-missiles into the commander’s barracks and escaped with the set of SAMAS power armor. It was a close call and she knew that there would be members of Wolfe’s Brigade that would hunt her.


Her solution was to get plastic surgery and change her appearance. She also repainted the captured SAMAS power armor. There are many mercenaries with SAMAS and would not create a problem for her. She also changed her name to Rachelle Sherman. She looked around for a new mercenary to join. At the same time, Northern Gun was supporting the creation of new mercenary companies. Part of the reason was to create forces to help protect the companies facilities from a Coalition takeover. She joined one of the new companies being supported by Northern Gun known as “Wisconsin Freelancers.” Rachelle was able to get first line gear for the first time and traded her SAMAS power armor for a new Northern Gun heavy design known as the X-200 Super Troll. As well, Northern Gun also sent instructors to train the new soldiers. From them, she learned how to read and write along with new combat skills.


The problem was that Northern Gun made an agreement with the Coalition and Northern Gun withdrew support from most of the new mercenary companies. Most of the companies were unable to survive including the Wisconsin Freelancers. Rachelle was left without a company although she was able to retain her new “Troll” power armor and her new equipment. She learned of another company known as “Vixen’s Pride” and joined them. She was soon transferred to a sister company of Vixen’s Pride known as “Fighting Tigers.” The new company needed well trained personnel to form the core of the company and she filled that role well.
