New Armor & Weapons for Rifts - Pre-Rifts French Military:
Armor:
- APMAS-42 Ballistic Body Armor:
- First French Mega-Damage body armor and like similar armors, lacks
many of the features of later armor and is not as damage resistant as later
armors as well. Replaced in service by the APMAS-72 and APMAS-78 armors.
Still, the APMAS-42 armor was retained for several years for vehicle crews
and Navy personnel. Armor is not environmental and does not contain sensor
systems of later body armors. Armor consists of padded armor with high
strength composite plates embedded into the armor and a hard helmet. Except
for being Non-Environmental, armor is similar to the post Rifts Urban Warrior
armor.

Penalties: Good Mobility, -12% to prowl and -5% on climb rolls
Black Market Cost: 8,000 Credits
- Standard issued heavy body armor used by the French armed forces during
most of the last half of the Twenty-First Century. Replaced the APMAS-42
armor although some of the old suits were retained and Caches can sometimes
be found in France. The armor was used by all French field combatants including
the infantry and marines. Armor served in this role until the Cataclysm
although a more advanced armor had been introduced and was slowly replacing
it in service. In some cases, the Special Forces used the lighter armor.
The armor is fully environmental and is a plate design similar to the Post
Rifts Bushman body armor.

- Commonly used by special forces and vehicle crews. Navy crews also
were issued this armor. Replaced the APMAS-42 armor for vehicle crews and
Navel personnel. Armor served in this role until the Cataclysm. The armor
is lighter than normal body. It looks similar to the heavy body armor but
has thinner armor plates. The armor is fully environmental like the heavier
suit.

- Armor is similar is basic appearance to the Triax Explorer armor although
styling is far different. Like most advanced armors, the APMAS-95 is fully
environmental. It was planned as a replacement for the APMAS-72 body armor.
The armor was only introduced just prior to the coming of the Rifts and
few had been produced. As a result, the armor is extremely rare. Engineers
were working on a lightweight version of the armor which would have replaced
the APMAS-78 for special forces although the older armor would have been
retained for vehicle crews and naval personnel. There was plans to purchase
the licence for the British stealth system used in the ER-7 Stealth Body
Armor

- PAMAS-37 (Pistolet Automatique de la Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne
Modèle 2037):
- Designed around the same time as the FAMAS-36 Combat Rifle, the PAMAS-37
Pistol also uses liquid propellant, and was the primary weapon of the French
Military around the middle of the Twenty First Century. Instead of using
normal gunpowder, the weapon uses a powerful liquid propellant to drive
the bullets. This propellant has about four times the forces of nitro-cellulose
gunpowder. Because of the extreme recoil of propellant, the gun barrel
is ported and the weapon was constructed with a recoil buffer to reduce
recoil. Even so, the weapon has a large amount of recoil and requires a
strength of 12 or the weapon has -2 to strike. The PAMAS-37 was replaced
by energy rifles in French military service. The weapon can use special
explosive rounds to inflict greater damage as well as more conventional
rounds.
Weight: 3 lbs (1.4 kg)
Cartridge: 10 mm Liquid propellant
Damage: Standard Ammunition: 2D6x10 S.D.C. Explosive Ammunition: 1D4 MD.
Rate of Fire: Standard (Can be Double Tapped)
Maximum Effective Range: 250 feet (76.2 meters)
Payload: 10 or 20 round magazines (Liquid propellant in magazine)
Black Market Cost: 4,800 for pistol, 250 for a box of 50 standard rounds and 500 for a box of 50 Explosive rounds (Liquid propellant is packaged with rounds)
- Standard Energy pistol of the French Military until the Great Cataclysm
struck. The PAMAS-67 replaced the PAMAS-37 Liquid Propellant Pistol. The
pistol has a longer range that the standard American laser pistol of the
time but has a lower output. The French military was preparing to replace
the weapon just before the coming of the Rifts but events intervened before
a large number of the new pistols could be produced.
Weight: 3.2 lbs (1.45 kg)
Mega-Damage: 1D6
Rate of Fire: Standard
Maximum Effective Range: 1,000 feet (305 meters)
Payload: 15 shots short E-Clip, 24 Shots each long E-Clip
Black Market Cost: 9,000 Credits
- Laser pistol which had been just introduced into French service and
was the replacement for the PAMAS-67. Only a handful were produced before
the coming of the Rifts. Equal in power and range to the United States
M-2011 although a lighter weapon. Unlike the American weapon, the PAMAS-98
is a laser weapon. There was planned a follow up weapon which would be
variable frequency but never went beyond the development stage.
Weight: 4 lbs (1.8 kg)
Mega-Damage: 3D6 M.D.
Rate of Fire: Standard; single shot only
Maximum Effective Range: 800 feet (244 meters).
Payload: 10 shots short E-Clip, 15 Shots each long E-Clip
Bonus: +1 to strike on an aimed shot
Black Market Cost: 25,000 Credits
- FNH P500 Pulse Laser Submachine Gun:
- This weapon, produced by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal, is the standard
sub machinegun of the French military. Like the P90, which it is based
off of, it is a bullpup configuration, and allows for ambidextrous usage.
A specially designed energy clip runs along the top axis, allowing for
a very compact weapon. It is a pulse laser that weapon inflicts damage
equal to the FAMAS-66, but with reduced range. The weapon is standard for
aircraft and vehicle crews, and is popular with Special Forces units especially
the French Foreign Legion.
Weight: 5 lbs (2.25 kg)
Mega-Damage: 2D6 for Single Shot and 6D6 for 3 simultaneous blasts.
Rate of Fire: Single shot or three round burst.
Effective Range: 800 feet (244 meters).
Payload: 30 Shots short E-Clip, 45 Shots long E-Clip.
Black Market/Market Cost: 28,000 credits
- Like the PAMAS-98, this weapon was introduced too late for service
in the French military and only a handful had been produced before the
Cataclysm. Those had been issued to special forces including the Foreign
Legion. Has a reduced range compared to contemporary French energy weapons
but is longer ranged than the P500 is was developed to replace. Like the
weapon that the P600 was devloped to replace, the ergonomics of the weapon
are from the P90.
Weight: 6 lbs (2.7 kg)
Mega-Damage: 3D6 for Single Shot and 1D6x10 for 3 simultaneous blasts.
Rate of Fire: Single shot or three round burst.
Effective Range: 1,000 feet (305 meters)
Payload: 30 Shots short E-Clip, 45 Shots long E-Clip.
Black Market/Market Cost: 35,000 credits
- Franchi SPAS-32 Shotgun:
- The Italian manufactured shotgun became to the French military in the
later half of the Twenty-First century. The weapon uses an improved liquid
propellant to drive its shells. This propellant has about six times the
forces of nitro-cellulose gunpowder. It is fitted with a recoil suppressor
on the barrel to keep the weapon controllable, but still requires strength
of 12 or the weapon has -2 to strike. The magazine is the tube under the
barrel of the shotgun, and the shotgun can carry an additional round in
the chamber. It features an M-16 style handgrip with a collapsible stock.
The shotgun fires heavy shells, each with 20 small super-strength armor
piercing flechettes. These rounds are deadly at close range and can penetrate
medium armor. Alternatively, the SPAS-32 can fire high explosive cartridges.
These cartridges are much smaller than conventional grenades, but still
cause an extreme amount of damage. The blast is very concentrated, about
a one foot (0.3 m) area, unlike the larger grenades which affect an area
five to twenty times larger.
Weight: 18 lbs (8.2 kg)
Cartridge: 12 Gauge Liquid propellant
Damage: By Cartridge Type (5D6 for armor piercing flechettes rounds, 4D6 for HE)
Rate of Fire: Single Shot only (Equal to hand to hand attacks)
Maximum Effective Range: 800 feet (244 meters)
Payload: 12 rounds per magazine. Cartridges can be loaded manually, one round at a time (i.e. one round per melee action).
Black Market Cost: 38,000 Credits (All Models), shotgun shells cost extra.
Note: Triax Industries will produce a similar weapon to the SPAS as the TX-16 over 200 years after the Great Cataclysm. The SPAS-32 uses a 12 guage round while the TX-16 uses a smaller round.
- Designed to replace the original FAMAS, the weapon is far more powerful
and capable of inflicting damage on the super strong alloys developed in
the 2030s. The Rifle was used by both the French Army and Marines as their
primary weapon. Like the original FAMAS assault rifle, the FAMAS-36 is
of bullpup configuration and allows for ambidextrous usage. The ammunition
is stored in a magazine behind the trigger and the receiver is housed in
strong plastic. Instead of using normal gunpowder, the weapon uses a powerful
liquid propellant to drive the bullets. This propellant has about four
times the forces of nitro-cellulose gunpowder. These rounds were the standard
for most NATO members. The FAMAS-36 was replaced by energy rifles in French
military service. The weapon can be fired in single shot and three round
bursts. The weapon can use special explosive rounds to inflict greater
damage as well as more conventional rounds.
Weight: 7 lbs (3.1 kg)
Cartridge: 5 mm Liquid propellant
Damage: Standard Ammunition: 3D6x10 S.D.C. single shot and 1D6 M.D.C. three round. Explosive Ammunition: 1D6 M.D.C. single shot and 3D6 M.D.C. three round burst.
Rate of Fire: Single Shot and Three Round Burst.
Maximum Effective Range: 1600 feet (610 meters)
Payload: 30, 40, or 60 round magazines (Liquid propellant in magazine)
Black Market Cost: 10,000 for rifle, 250 for a box of 50 standard rounds and 500 for a box of 50 Explosive rounds (Liquid propellant is packaged with rounds)
- Replaced the FAMAS-36 in French service and was standard combat rifle
until the Great Cataclysm struck. Like its predecessors, the FAMAS-66 is
of bullpup configuration and allows for ambidextrous usage. The energy
clip is stored in a magazine behind the trigger and the receiver is housed
in strong plastic. Similar in performance to the US M-120 Rifle (Pre-Rifts
L-20 Pulse Rifle) except French rifle is a bit heavier. The weapon is designed
to fire three round bursts to inflict more damage.
Weight: 9 lbs (4.1 kg)
Mega Damage: 2D6 for Single Shot and 6D6 for 3 simultaneous blasts.
Rate of Fire: Single shot or three round burst.
Maximum Effective Range: 1600 feet (610 meters)
Payload: 40 shots short E-Clip, 50 Shots each long E-Clip
Black Market Cost: 24,000 Credits
- Planned replacement for the FAMAS-66 but production was still gearing
up before the coming of the Rifts. As a result, only a small number of
these rifles reached the field. In many ways, it can be considered the
equivalent of the American M-160 assault rifle although the French weapon
is a laser weapon and has less range than the American weapon. Like its
predecessors, the FAMAS-97 is of bullpup configuration and allows for ambidextrous
usage. The weapon is designed to fire three round bursts to inflict more
damage.
Weight: 7 lbs (3.2 kg)
Mega Damage: 3D6 for Single Shot and 1D6x10 for 3 simultaneous blasts.
Rate of Fire: Single shot or three round burst.
Maximum Effective Range: 1600 feet (610 meters)
Payload: 30 shots short E-Clip, 45 Shots each long E-Clip
Black Market Cost: 32,000 Credits
- Powerful plasma weapon sometimes carried instead of a support laser
rifle by troops, especially when tasked with anti-armor missions. It has
slightly lower range than other support weapons, but has incredible firepower
for its size. It is of standard design with the energy clip housed forward
of the grip and trigger. The weapon is extremely rare in the years since
the Great Cataclysm and is highly sought after.
Weight: 16 lbs (7.3 kg)
Mega Damage: 1D4x10
Rate of Fire: Standard; single shot only
Maximum Effective Range: 1600 feet (610 meters)
Payload: 10 shots short E-Clip, 15 Shots each long E-Clip
Black Market Cost: 40,000 Credits
- FRF15 Liquid Propellant Sniper Rifle
- Designed to replace the FRF2 sniper rifle, the weapon is far more powerful
and capable of inflicting damage on the super strong alloys developed in
the 2030s. The Rifle was used by both the French Army and Marines as their
primary sniping weapon. The rifle is of standard configuration and is tailored
to either left or right-handed shooters. Instead of using normal gunpowder,
the weapon uses a powerful liquid propellant to drive the bullets. This
propellant has about four times the forces of nitro-cellulose gunpowder.
These rounds were the standard for most NATO members. The rifle has special
recoil absorbers to make the weapon manageable to the point that it has
no penalties unless the shooter has a strength below 8, which weapon then
has -1 to strike on aimed shots and -3 for bursts. It comes standard with
a bi-pod, infrared and night-vision telescopic sight, and an advanced laser
targeting system. Unlike its predecessor, it is magazine fed and semi-automatic.
The FRF15 was replaced by the FRF21 in French military service in the later
half of the Twenty-First Century.
Weight: 10.5 lbs (4.8 kg)
Cartridge: 5 mm Liquid propellant
Damage: Standard Ammunition: 3D6x10 S.D.C. Explosive Ammunition: 1D6 M.D.C.
Rate of Fire: Single Shot only.
Maximum Effective Range: 2297 feet (700 meters)
Payload: 10 or 20 round magazine (Liquid propellant in magazine)
Black Market Cost: 15,000 for rifle, 250 for a box of 50 standard rounds and 500 for a box of 50 Explosive rounds (Liquid propellant is packaged with rounds)
Bonuses: +1 to strike
- The FRF21 replaced the liquid propellant FRF15 in French military service
in the later half of the Twenty-First Century. It is a conventionally designed
sniper rifle, tailored to either left or right-handed shooters. It is a
heavier than its predecessor because of special capacitors and focusing
equipment to give the weapon longer range than the FAMAS-66 combat rifle.
Although intended for aimed single shots, the rifle does have a burst capability,
giving it some capability as an assault weapon. It comes standard with
a bi-pod, infrared and night-vision telescopic sight, and an advanced laser
targeting system.
Weight: 14.2 lbs (6.4 kg)
Mega Damage: 3D6 for Single Shot and 1D6 x10 for 3 simultaneous blasts.
Rate of Fire: Single shot or three round burst.
Maximum Effective Range: 3281 feet (1000 meters, yes 1 km)
Payload: 20 shots short E-Clip, 40 Shots each long E-Clip
Black Market Cost: 40,000 Credits
Bonuses: +2 to strike
- An extremely powerful weapon but limited in rate of fire. This weapon
was used by French military as their primary heavy sniper weapon. It is
constructed from light-weight high-strength alloys and composites, and
is much improved over its British counterpart. Instead of firing a burst
like most rail guns, the Hecate VI fires a single large round at huge velocities.
It inflicts incredible damage and is very long ranged. It uses special
recoil buffering systems but can only be fired when braced. A special high
density Discarding Sabot round was developed to increase the weapons damage
even further. The power for the rail gun is provided by two e-clips run
through special capacitors. The weapon can be broken down into approximate
20 kg bundles and be carried by teams of three with one carrying three
magazines. There are special laser guided rounds available. The nose of
the bullet can be altered in position compared to the main body of the
bullet allowing it to alter course slightly. This allows the bullet to
compensate for wind, drop, and if the target moves slightly. There is an
integral laser in the rifle and can also be controlled by others. The Rail
Gun can also be used by power armor units although usually other weapons
were preferred due to the weapons limited rate of fire. The weapon is usually
assigned to Special Forces and other non-conventional units.
Weight: Rail Gun: 99.2 lbs (45 kg), 6 Round Magazine: 18 lbs (8.2 lbs)
Mega Damage: Conventional Rounds: 1D6x10 per Round APFSDS Ammo: 2D4x10 per Round
Rate of Fire: Maximum of 2 per melee
Maximum Effective Range: 8,000 feet (2,450 meters)
Payload: 6 per Magazine
Bonuses: Laser Guided bullets have a +3 to Strike
Black Market Cost: 240,000 Credits (Very Rare after the coming of the Rifts.) Each conventional round costs 50 credits each, and each discarding sabot round costs 150 credits each. Guided rounds cost 500 credits extra.
Bonuses: +2 to strike
- Giat Industries AAT-4A2 12.7 millimeter Machine-Gun
- This weapon was introduced due to needing a heavy weapon to deal with
the new advanced composites and alloys. It was one of the few old style
weapon which could fire a powerful enough cartridge to be effective. Special
Ram-Jet style rounds were developed for the weapon which were similar to
those developed by Wellington after the coming of the Rifts. Replaced by
rail guns on most designs in later service. Rail guns are considered far
more effective in terms of damage.
Weight: 76 lbs (34.5 kg) for Rifle
Maximum Effective Range: 3,000 feet (914.4 meters)
Mega Damage: Burst of 40 rounds does 5D6. No single shots.
Rate of Fire: Equal to combined hand to hand attacks of pilot / gunner
Payload: 2,000 round magazine for 50 bursts.
Black Market Cost: 8,000 Credits.
- Designed right after the FAMAS-36 and was designed as a support weapon
to work in conjunction with the FAMAS-36. The weapon served in both the
French Army and Marines until replaced by energy weapons. Instead of using
normal gunpowder, the weapon uses a powerful liquid propellant to drive
the bullets. This propellant has about four times the forces of nitro-cellulose
gunpowder. The weapon is slightly heavier than the combat rifle and is
manageable in all modes of fire. The weapon can be fired in single shot,
three round burst, and extended bursts. The weapon can use special explosive
rounds to inflict greater damage as well as more conventional rounds. Can
use the same magazines as the combat rifle but can also use special belts.
Weight: 16 lbs (7.3 kg)
Cartridge: 5 mm Liquid propellant
Damage: Standard Ammunition: 3D6x10 S.D.C. single shot, 1D6 M.D.C. three round burst, and as per machine gun rules for other bursts. Explosive Ammunition: 1D6 M.D.C. single shot, 3D6 M.D.C. three round burst, and as per machine gun rules for other bursts.
Rate of Fire: Single Shot, Three Round Burst, and Extended Bursts (Use Machine Gun burst rules).
Maximum Effective Range: 1600 feet (610 meters)
Payload: 30, 40, or 60 round magazines (Liquid propellant in magazine) or special 100 or 200 round belts (uses special liquid propellant cartridges that attach behind the belt)
Black Market Cost: 19,000 for weapon, 250 for a box of 50 standard rounds and 500 for a box of 50 Explosive rounds (Liquid propellant is packaged with rounds)Liquid Propellant
- The AA66 is based off of the FAMAS-66 Pulse Rifle and was the standard
issue Laser light machine-gun for the French military for the last decades
of the Twenty-First Century. It is heavier than the standard rifle due
to having a special cooling and capacitor system to enable the weapon to
fire extended bursts in addition to firing single shots and three round
bursts. The weapon also has better range than the standard laser rifle.
In some cases, the weapon can be plugged into the power feed of a power
armor or vehicle for effectively unlimited shots. While an excellent weapon,
it is a bit heavier than the American equivalent. This weapon was also
produces by Triax Industries as the AAR-2 Automatic Pulse Laser Rifle.
Weight: 18 lbs (8.2 lbs)
Mega Damage: 2D6 per single shot, 6D6 for a rapid fire three shot burst, or use machine gun burst rules for higher burst setting.
Rate of Fire: Single Shot, Three Round Burst, and Extended Bursts (Use Machine Gun burst rules).
Maximum Effective Range: 2000 feet (610 meters).
Payload: 40 shots short E-Clip, 50 Shots each long E-Clip, and effectively unlimited if plugged into a vehicle or power armor's power supply.
Black Market Cost: 47,000 Credits
- The AA-97 is based off of the FAMAS-97 Pulse Rifle but was introduced
too late for it to replace the previous AA66 model. It is heavier than
the standard rifle due to having a special cooling and capacitor system
to enable the weapon to fire extended bursts in addition to firing single
shots and three round bursts. The weapon also has better range than the
standard laser rifle. In some cases, the weapon can be plugged into the
power feed of a power armor or vehicle for effectively unlimited shots.
While an excellent weapon, it is a bit heavier than the American equivalent.
Weight: 16 lbs (7.3 kg)
Mega Damage: 3D6 per single shot, 1D6x10 for a rapid fire three shot burst, or use machine gun burst rules for higher burst setting.
Rate of Fire: Single Shot, Three Round Burst, and Extended Bursts (Use Machine Gun burst rules).
Maximum Effective Range: 2000 feet (610 meters).
Payload: 30 shots short E-Clip, 45 Shots each long E-Clip, and effectively unlimited if plugged into a vehicle or power armor's power supply.
Black Market Cost: 55,000 Credits
- Basically this is a licensed copy of the American USA-M31 rail gun
usually fitted to the Lafayette power armor. The power armor computer has
special software that fires the main thrusters just as the cannon is fired
to compensate for the cannons recoil.
Weight: 110 lbs (50 kg) for the Rail gun and 190 lbs (86.2 kg) for the ammo drum.
Mega-Damage: a burst of 40 rounds does 1D6x10, a single round does 1D4+1.
Rate of Fire: Equal to number of combined hand to hand attacks (usually 4-6).
Maximum Effective Range: 4,000 feet (1,200 m) in an earthlike atmosphere and 32,000 feet (9,600 meters) in space.
Payload: 2000 round drum for 50 bursts. When reloading, the used drum must be manually removed by another power armor or character with a strength of 26 or higher before it can be replaced with the new one. Reloading a drum will take about five minutes for those not trained, but a mere one minute by somebody trained in the use of the Lafayette power armor.
Black Market Cost: 150,000 Credits
- Fusil Automatique FA-220 Under Rifle Grenade Launcher:
- Modeled after the US M-2100, this grenade launcher will fit under most
French rifle designs. It can also be used separately as an individual weapon.
It uses the same ammunition as the FA-440 automatic grenade launcher.
Weight: 4 lbs (1.8 kg)
Mega Damage: Fragmentation grenade inflicts 3D6 M.D.C. to a 12 ft (3.6 m) radius, Plasma inflicts 4D6 to a 6 ft (1.8 m) radius and sets flammable material on fire, Armor Piercing inflicts 5D6 M.D.C. with a blast area of 3 ft (1 m), and smoke or gas with a 20 ft (6 m) radius and lasts 2D4 minutes.
Rate of Fire: Single Shot only (Equal to hand to hand attacks)
Maximum Effective Range: 1200 feet (366 meters)
Payload: 4, takes 15 seconds (one melee) to reload launcher
Black Market Cost: The launcher costs 15,000 credits, grenades cost extra.
- Weapon is very similar to the American AGL-40 Automatic Grenade Launcher.
This weapon was used in the Chevillon Light Tank as well as being used
on tripod mounts and the Lafayette power armors. It can fire single shot
or bursts of ten rounds and can inflict heavy damage when burst fired.
If weapon is not tripod mounted, the person using the weapon needs strength
of 24 and is at -1 to strike. The grenade launcher can use either a 40-round
magazine or 200-round belt.
Weight: 141.1 lb (64 kg). Each magazine weighs 4.4 lbs (2 kg) and each belt weighs 22 lbs (10 kg)
Maximum Effective Range: 3,000 ft (914 meters)
Mega-Damage: 3D6 for Fragmentation with a blast area of 12 ft and 5D6 for Armor Piercing with a blast area of 3 ft, burst of 10 rounds does 2D4x10 for Fragmentation with a blast area of 40 ft and 2D6x10 for Armor Piercing with a blast area of 8 ft. Other special rounds are available.
Rate of Fire: Single Shot or Ten round bursts
Payload: 40 Round Magazine or 200 Round Belt.
Black Market Cost:
- The French military used a licensed copy of the British RPM-2 until
the introduction of this weapon. Derived from the US-R-1 (LAWS-3), the
weapon used standard mini-missiles because of a perceived lack of range
of the special rockets of the LAW-3. It uses a four round disposable clip
on the top and has a laser designator built into the sight system. The
launcher has a rapid fire system that allows for automatic fire, enabling
the gunner to fire two round bursts. The disposable clips automatically
eject when empty and can be reloaded in under five seconds by trained personnel.
The weapon was deployed well before the US-R-4 (LAWS-4), and there was
some speculation that the American weapon was based off of the French system.
Weight: 22 lbs (10.0 kg) without missiles or 30 lbs (13.6 kg) with missiles. Each extra missile weighs approximately an additional 2 lbs (0.91 kg)
Mega Damage: Varies by mini-missile type (See revised bomb and missile tables for details.)
Rate of Fire: Single Shot only (Equal to hand to hand attacks)
Maximum Effective Range: Varies by mini-missile type (See revised bomb and missile tables for details.)
Payload: 4, takes 15 seconds (one melee) to reload launcher
Black Market Cost: The launcher costs 25,000 credits, missiles cost extra.
- Designed on the British SRM-1, this launcher is a tube style single
shot hand held short range missile launcher which is disposable. Firing
the missile ruins the short range missile launcher. The missile launcher
is design to be used both by ground troops against aircraft and light armor.
It is similar to several Post-Rifts missile launchers including the Wellington
WI-50S. The launcher is much heavy than the mini-missile launcher and must
be operated from some type of platform or the user must have strength of
18 or higher.
Note: SAM style missiles are missiles that sacrifice payload for higher speeds, see Chris Curtis' modified missile table for specifics
Weight: 12 lbs (5.4 kg) without missile or 52 lbs (23.6 kg) with missile. The short range missile weighs approximately 40 lbs (18.2 kg)
Mega Damage: Varies by short missile type (See revised bomb and missile tables for details - SAM style missiles normally)
Rate of Fire: Single Shot only
Maximum Effective Range: Varies by short missile type (See revised bomb and missile tables for details - SAM style missiles normally)
Payload: 1, weapon is destroyed after use
Black Market Cost: The launcher costs 4,000 credits, missiles cost extra.
