Howa Axiom Bolt Action Rifle [Bolt Action Rifle]:
The Howa Axiom is relatively strange looking for a bolt-action rifle. However, this is its greatest attribute. The reshaping of its butt stock reduces strain on the user, especially in higher caliber rounds. Therefore, this with the combination of a pad on the butt stock will allow the shooter to fire the rifle many times in succession without discomfort. This is of particular importance to shooters in a concealed situation, i.e. a hunter to whom every bit of movement could give away position to possible prey.
The barrel has a heavy profile, and the Axiom is very accurate straight out of the box. It will chamber just about any ammunition provided in the caliber that a particular rifle is chambered in. The strong bolt present in the rifle helps with this lack of selectivity. Furthermore, the fore stock has a disjointed assembly, which ventilates the weapon very well and prevents overheating.
If adjustment is needed, the 3 ¼" pound trigger pull can be adjusted, often allowing the shooter to drop around one pound of that weight.
