Tokarev [Automatic Pistol]:
This gun was accepted in 1933 as the standard sidearm of the Soviet Union, and served for over forty years in that function in various Soviet states. The Tokarev is still being made today in China, and used guns are imported from Russia. The weapon is a single-action automatic, and in it original configuration fires the 7.62x25 round. Later versions can also be had in the 9 mm cartidge. Overall workmanship tends to vary wildly, from good to rather poor. In general these guns wil function reliably ONLY with FMJ ammo. Availability is good, especially in Europe and Asia, and the price is low, around 100 to 150 dollars.
Both versions of the gun have a eight round magazine.
