Age: 44 (Looks mid twenties). Race: Human. Sex: Female. P.P.E.: 8.
Disposition:
The Widow is extremely competent and skilled as an officer. Tasya seems to have been a natural when it comes to learning tactics, strategies, and logistics. Very few pirate leaders, even those who are surprisingly successful, are masters of strategies or logistics. Most have no experience commanding anything larger than a single ship.
Unlike many pirates, she will go after well defended targets although she will always have well thought out tactics to deal with them. Targets she has gone after include escorted convoys and even planetary defenses. She is even willing to attack Trans-Galactic Empire convoys when there is a juicy target.
Tasya is also extremely charismatic and has a natural ability to lead her personnel. Her own personnel are extremely loyal to her. Even those who later left her service, there are few that will say much bad about her. She is loyal to her own crew and is considered to be quite fair. Unlike some captains, she does not take advantage of her crew or abuse them. She does skim a much larger percentage of the profits than some might consider fair which she keeps in secret back accounts.
The Widow has a sense of honor that most pirates don’t have. If she makes a promise, she will try to not break it. As well, she does not like abusing captives and will punish her crew although mostly due to her perceiving such actions as against crew discipline. A few of the disgruntled crew members are crew who have been released because of this.
This does not mean that she is not willing to enslave prisoners who have no way of paying a ransom. Some of them have been sold in very dismal conditions. As well, she will deal with those who are considered quite vile including those who work for the Splugorth.
Even though she has an active sex life, Tasya does not keep lovers from within the crew. Instead she picks up “Boy Toys” including the purchase of cute male slaves. When she gets tired of them, she will give them a large payoff for them to settle quietly. This does not mean that she will not use seduction as a tool when it is useful. After all, that is what gave her the opportunity to become a captain in the first place.
She does use anti-aging drugs and appears to be in her mid twenties even though she is in her mid forties. As well, she has had a number of cybernetic augmentations including a cyber disguise and subdermal cyber armor. O.C.C.: Space Pirate. Experience Level: Seventh (7).

Appearance:
Tasya definitely does not look her age as a result of the use of anti-aging drugs but instead looks to be in her mid twenties. She is quite beautiful although this is not completely natural. She is not real tall, a bit below the human average in the Three Galaxies at only around 160 centimeters in height. She cannot really be considered strong but is athletic. It is quite likely that one of her enhancements was her chest. Her hair is a medium brown which she normally wears in a shag type cut which hangs down to the small of her back. Her eyes are hazel which seem to shift in the light. She normally wears a light lip highlights but darkens her eyes quite heavily. Through her cyber disguise, she can change her facial appearance almost completely which makes it hard to track her.
Tasya, when in her official role as “Captain” or “Admiral” usually dresses in a CAF Jumpsuit or a simple working jumpsuit. Often she will also wear an armor jacket as additional protection. Usually she carries a set of energy pistols on her side, finding them more useful than a rifle when onboard ship. Other times though she will dress much differently and wears scanty almost see-through clothing. Tasya has a fondness for body stockings of this style but is not limited to them and will wear skirts and other such revealing clothing. She does have a fetish for expensive jewelry and usually wears several hundred thousand credits worth. Preferred jewelry includes necklaces, bracelets, rings, and ear rings.

Background:
While one might think that there are clear records on everybody in the Three Galaxies, this is actually far from the case. Chances are that if you live anywhere in the Consortium of Civilized Worlds, this is the case but there are plenty of primitive places in the Three Galaxies. As well, many places simply do not care about keeping good records. These include center.
The background of the pirate known as “The Widow” is one of these people where there is little in the way of hard information. What is known about her is mostly from what she has told her crew and has reached the attention of researchers. There have been many attempts to discover since she became notorious but there has been little uncovered. It does not appear that there has been any attempt to cover up her background but instead simply poor records. There is also no clear DNA on her to attempt to do a trace in that fashion. There is several DNA samples which one might be hers although there is not way to be sure at present.
Nothing is known about Tasya’s parents. Even her planet of birth is unknown. For whatever reason, she has never talked about it. There is some wild speculation but nothing beyond that. The oldest information which seems to be fairly well supported in that she was a prostitute on Center before becoming a pirate. There is conflicting information if she was a willing prostitute, indenture, or a slave. The manager of the brothel which she worked at has since disappeared.
It has been said that she was very attractive even then although rumor is that she has since “improved” her looks. It is believed that she was very young, likely seventeen or eighteen standard years at this time. Interviews with the women who she worked with have said that even then she was extremely popular. Some researchers think that her later charisma as a captain was showing through even this early. Part of the confusion about just what Tasya’s status comes from these women.
Her attractiveness and charisma seemed to have fascinated a pirate captain known as “Bloody Balthazar.” He was captain of a pirate cruiser known as the “Blood Raven” and while never becoming as infamous as she later became, he was well known. His ship was a converted merchant vessel like many in the Three Galaxies although more capable than most converted pirate vessels.
Again we run into problems with what happened. Some of what is known indicates that she simply joined the captain as his mistress. There is the suggestion that he might have bought her from the brothel owner with the brothel owner being paid enough to retire. Other sources seem to indicate that she was kidnaped or perhaps rescued from the brothel. It is suggested in some source that the brothel owner was killed at the same time.
Whatever the case, it does not appear that she was unwilling to be his mistress. Tasya seemed to want to become more than his mistress and learned a lot about how to crew a starship. She learned how to helm a large ship, how to fly a starfighter, and how to operate a light power armor among many other skills. It also appears that she might have already had some kind of military training. Those who have talked about her tell that she had a charisma that seemed to exude command. In many ways she became his second in command although never took the title. She also had some skill at defusing problems and the ship had greatly reduced incidents with her dealing with crew problems.
Most pirates seem to die in bloody ways but Balthazar appears to have died from a simple heart attack. It is believed that Taysa kept things quiet while she prepared to take command of the “Blood Raven” instead of the official second in command. When he did find out, there was a struggle with a large percentage of the crew siding with her but more of the senior officers siding with him. He did not have anything like her charisma and was considered both cruel to the crew and a taskmaster. Most of the senior officers were killed and it is said that she personally killed the executive officer. Except for a few “ringleaders,” she seemed to have let the crew who sided with the executive officer live.
Taysa proved an adept captain, knowing when to attack and when not to attack. She had much greater goals than the former captain. Even though never formally married to him, she acquired the nickname “The Widow.” One of the first targets she went after taking command of the “Blood Raven” was an escorted convoy. While the convoy was only escorted by a destroyer, most pirates avoid going after targets escorted by warships however small. Attacking escorted convoys is not unknown but damage to pirate ships strikes deep into their profits. In this case however it payed off quite handsomely.
Somehow she was able to get contact with an administrator in the Trans-Galactic Empire. Through the administrator, she was able to acquire an old Defiler class heavy cruiser. Much of her profit from the convoy went into buying that cruiser. It is most likely that this administrator was executed because it is believed that he also provided ships to the Free Worlds Council. She gave the ship the name the “Widow Ching” after a famous historic female pirate from the days of ocean pirates. Even though smaller than the “Blood Raven,” this ship packed far more firepower and was tougher.
Over the next few years, she proved to be extremely charismatic towards her crew and was judged to be extremely fair. Honorable as in that she will keep her word when given unlike many. She preferred to ransom crews whenever possible although has been known to sell them into slavery. She started with “Widow Ching” and “Blood Raven” and managed to gather a larger fleet, mostly destroyers. Some were purchased although others were independents who later decided to join her.
The ”Blood Raven” was later crippled in a battle with a system self defense force although she was able to capture a light cruiser in the same engagement. Other ships she managed to capture include a repair ship which gives her forces an independence that few pirate forces have. In addition, she had a light carrier join her forces.
The Widow was able to capture damaged a fast military converted cargo ship which she had both the shield generators and drives refitted to her ship. Otherwise, she has had her flagship upgraded with an improved heavy battery and a better defensive battery. As a result of her upgrades, the “Widow Ching” is one of the most dangerous pirate vessels in the Three Galaxies.
Presently, she is in command of one of the largest pirate fleets in the Three Galaxies. She will go after targets which almost no other pirates will attack including planets that are reasonably well defended although they will not go after first tier defenses. As well, she has attacked Kreeghor forces in several cases especially since they have been badly weakened by the REF. She will sometimes operate ships independently although more often she will operate her ships together so that they can attack defended targets.
The Widow is one of the most wanted pirates in the Three Galaxies. She is presently has warrants by the Consortium of Civilized Worlds, the Trans-Galactic Empire. The Free World Council does not have a warrant out for her which the Trans-Galactic Empire has used to argue that the Free Worlds Council gives the female pirate and her fleet a safe refuge although there is no evidence for this.
