Weight: 106 lbs (48.08 kg). Height: 5 foot 4 inches (1.62 meters).

Age: 22 years. Race: Human. Sex: Female.

Disposition:

It is likely that her love for magic is a rebellion from being raised in the Coalition. Still, even at an early age she never had a real understanding of the hatred or fear. Of course, extremely powerful supernatural creatures do make her nervous especially those that are considered extremely dangerous. One of her interests is learning additional magic.

Will not generally tell others that she comes from the Coalition but instead say that she comes from Lazlo, Tolkeen, or somewhere else which is technologically advanced but not connected to the Coalition. Interestingly, she does not have any real hatred of the Coalition but she does understand where she stands with them. As such, she will treat them with caution.

While she is reasonable skilled at defending herself, she does not see herself as a soldier or warrior. Instead, she sees herself as a hacker, able to break into the best protected security. She is a team player and willing to work with others in order to achieve a goal. Does not consider herself to be a leader but more of a free agent however.

She is a bit on the quiet and shy type even though she tries to look flamboyant. This does not mean however that she cannot make friends and has a number of them. Loyalty to the few friends she has is pretty important to her. Does care deeply for her mother as well but knows that she needs to stay away in order to keep her mother safe.

Netikerty’s History:

Ruth Austin was a cyber security specialist who worked to keep the Coalition Lone Star facility safe from cyber intrusion. Colonel Carl Janson was a colonel in the Lone Star military, an up and coming rising star in many respects.

There was an affair between Ms Austin and Mr Janson with Nicole being the result. There appears to have never been any plans for them to marry. Eventually the affair ended and Nicole’s mother raised her daughter on her own. It was an amicable a breakup as one can legitimately expect. While growing up, Nicole only met her father a handful of times and never was a part of her life.

From an early age, Nicole took after her mother, showing a natural aptitude at cyber security. Her mother enrolled her in the best training available at Lone Star with Ruth teaching her daughter as well. There are some of the best school in the Coalition at Lone Star.

There is a huge number of high security files kept in the archives of the Lone Star facility. Hackers, as one might expect, often saw that as a challenge and try to hack into the archives. Many have a disdain for following the rules as it is. Quite a number of those files involve information on magic.

Nicole was not much different than many hackers in this respect. Through her own hacking, she found signs that her own mother had done her fair share of hacking as well. For some reason she had an interest in magic, maybe because of how much magic was maligned.

Her surreptitious investigation eventually became a full secret study of magic. This was extremely dangerous in the Coalition and as time went on, she had to be more and more careful. If it was found that she was learning magic, it would have been quite likely that she would be executed.

There are quite a few levels of security which she needed to watch out for. These include an organization know as Psi-Net who employs psychics. In the Lone Star facility, there also are large numbers of psi-hounds who can sniff out magic.

In her hacking into high security files, she came across an archive of interesting spells. One of these allowed a wizard to communicate with computers, bypassing most security measures. A second, which required incredible amount of magic energy, allows the transformation into energy and enter into a computer, other electronics, and electrical lines.

At this time, she knew it was only a matter of time until she got caught and knew she needed to escape before then. There was a high security vault containing various items that had been seized which according to her research included a number of magical energy talismans.

Using her ability to communicate directly with computers, she was able to override the security and get into the vault. With the talismans, she had enough mystical energy in order to transform into electricity and enter the grid. Through a series of steps, she was able to find her way to an isolated station outside of the facility itself.

Disappearing into the night, she left what happened to Nicole Austin-Janson a mystery. She did not want to get her mother in trouble so thought it might be best if she just disappeared. Nicole had seen so little of her father over the years than she was not concerned about him.

Nicole decided to reinvent herself, using the name Netikerty for herself. The name was pulled from an archive of ancient Egyptian names and means “She who is excellent.” In addition, she changed her appearance so that the Lone Star hacker would not be recognized, using ancient Egypt as an inspiration.

Prior to her striking on her own, she had only been trained in basic hand to hand. Luckily, she was reasonably athletic and was able to pick up skill with energy pistols quickly. Netikerty found she preferred using a pair of energy pistols over using an energy rifle or other heavy weapon.

Netikerty joined a small group which included a techno-wizard where she acted as the team’s information specialist. They usually called her “Neti.”
