As one might expect from someone of her background, she if both extremely dedicated and completely loyal to the New Navy. She sees the New Navy as the United States and the true owners of the North American Continent. Angela is extremely tough as well as being very disciplined and very self reliant. Due to their superiority in most areas and the virtually impossible situation of being able to truly compete with them and having been show up by them, she has a rivalry with Sea Titans.

Loyalty to friends is also extremely important. Also, she has a strong compassion for those unable to defend herself and believe that it is part of her job to get into harms way. Angela is both feisty and has a lively sense of human.

Angela is an attractive light skinned Caucasian women with black hair (so dark it has blue highlights) which she wears down to the middle of her back and she has dark blue eyes. She is only slightly taller (1.7 meters / 5 ft 7 in) than average for a women and her figure is athletic but like a swimmer and not like a body builder and is very slender. As one might expect, she is an excellent swimmer although she is surprisingly strong for her slim frame. She has fairly small breasts and narrow hips although still looks definitely feminine and definitely attracts her fair share of attention. She does not like to wear much in the way of cosmetics.

While Angela sometimes will wear a dress, its is extremely uncommon. Instead, she is almost always in uniform and can most frequently be found wearing camouflage fatigues. She prefers working uniforms over dress uniforms. When in dress uniform, she prefers dress pants over a skirt when an option.

Character History:

Angela is the product of many generations of New Navy sailors ands soldiers from the time of the Rifts and while most of her family has served in enlisted positions, members of her family have fought in virtually all the battles since the original battle to save the Submersible Carrier U.S.S. Ticonderoga when the Rifts first appeared. Though many of the records have been lost, it is told in family legends that her family served long before the coming of the Rifts.

Her father and mother were both serving members in the New Navy when Angela was born although they have since retired from active duty although are still active in secondary roles. Angela’s father was a member of the Marines and her mother was a sensor operator in the fleet. Throughout their marriage, they were separated for long periods of time but were able to endure.

Angela was born on Salvation Base and was raised on stories about the exploits of the New Navy and was given strong sense of duty to join the military herself. Angela saw little of her father while growing up and often had to be separated from her mother as well. Her maternal grandmother often raised her and her siblings while her parents were away. She has two other siblings, two brothers, one older and one younger than her.

Like her parents, both her and her brothers decided to join the military. Her older brother joined the New Navy Marines like their father and her younger brother is planning to join the New Navy when he is eighteen to become an electronics technician. Angela herself was attracted to the stories of the Seals told to her by her father. She wanted to be the absolute best.

Because of this, she started as a teenager training in hand to hand combat and was very competitive in sports with her school classmates. She was always very athletic and always excelled in physical activities including martial arts. Some of her classmates found her repellant due to her extreme competitiveness but she was generally good natured about either winning or losing.

Grades were as important to her parents as her athletic activities were to her and they were very strict that she keep up her grades as well. Along with being very athletic, she is very intelligent and had little trouble keeping up with her education even though she was always more concerned with athletic activities than school work. She did not have many boy friends while in school. Many of the young males found her intimidating.

Her one aberration compared to the rest of her family was her psychic abilities. While her father is a minor psychic and her grandmother on her mother side are both minor psychics, she is the only member of the family to have developed major psychic abilities. None of her brothers are psychic at all. Angela does not know if this is the results of simple fluke in her genetics or due to something which one or both of her parents where exposed to. Training in the use of her psychic abilities was yet another call on her time.

She graduated from “High School” with Honors although she was not top of her class. If she had applied herself in scholastic activities, she might have been. The educational system is surprisingly similar to the education system in the United States before the coming of the Rifts although with a much greater emphasis on the military and military history plays a much more prominent role in the educational system. There is very little of the anti-military sentiment which was seen in the United States prior to the coming of the Rifts.

There is a good chance that she could have joined an officer training program due to her high grades, but she passed that up for a chance to become a Seal. In fact, several of her teachers recommended that she attempt to become an officer but she was determined to go into Seal Training. As might be expected, Boot Camp was relatively easy for her and was sent to Seal Training right after she completed Boot Camp. The tests were incredibly demanding for becoming a Seal but she scored extremely high even there.

When she got to Seal training, she was determined to become the best and actually tried to compete with the Sea Titans. There was simply no way which she could compete with them, being literally superhuman. While she ultimately was beaten in performance by the Sea Titans in her Seal training company, she was the highest scoring true “human” in her training unit. It was here that she began to develop her rivalry against them. It was the first she found individuals which she simply could not keep pace with.

While already a proficient martial artist, she got further martial arts training. She learned the ways of commando fighting including both unarmed and with the knife. Her training also included the use of both energy rifles and energy pistols. She qualified expert marksman and also qualified as a pilot for the “Semper Fi” combat power armor. Once finished with Seal Training, she was sent further training where she was trained in the Intelligence Specialist (IS) rate. She graduated high as well then and came out of training as a third class petty officer.

Due to her Intelligence training, she was assigned to work with New Navy allies soon after finishing her training. Her psychic abilities also made her very useful in this role. During her time operating in this capacity, she learned a lot more about the world around her than most in the New Navy. She acquired a Wellington Industries under rifle grenade launcher. She has found it to be more effective than the standard New Navy model although quite a but heavier as well.
