Only eighteen, Roxie is in many ways your typical wild kid. She prefers the name "Roxie" over "Roxanne." The girl acts rough and tough like a typical street type. Like many though, she likes to party and have fun. She is a bit more careful that some, careful around drugs especially. She definitely like the company of men and spends a fair amount of time either chasing them or getting them to chase her. Her skills in seduction are quite well honed.
Even more than her love of men and having a good time, she has an extreme love of music. She loves the old punk rock and similar music styles. As a young girl, she loved music and as she got older, she decided to learn music. She is entirely self taught in music to the point where she is quite professional at it. She is self taught in both singing and the guitar. Both seemed to come naturally to her. While she loves to dance as well, she is not as professional at dance as she is at singing and with the guitar.
While she considers herself a tough girl and has never been one to follow the 'Rules', she does have a sense of honor. She will take advantage of someone but prefers to fleece those who will not miss the loss for a while. Sticking it to the "Man" is the most fun and one of her other highly developed skills is in the art of computer hacking. Those who she considers her friends, she is extremely loyal to.

Appearance:
Roxie is about average height but not much else about her is average. She has a quite well endowed figure with good cleavage and nice hips. She is also quite attractive. All of this does not attract attention. Her style though does quite a bit to tweak the noses of the conservative. She has reddish blond hair with a long mane which hangs down to the small of her back. Through her hair on either side runs a stripe of red and blue. For makeup, she paints her lips bright red but she also wears heavy blue and dark red eye shadow to give quite an attention making appearance. Her actual eye color is a dark blue eyes and she also wears heavy mascara.
Her idea of dress is as attention getting as her cosmetics. She does usually wear a leather jacket with a patch designed to look like the patch of a Pre-Rifts Navy Musician Master Chief Petty Officer. Under it, she often dress in lacy lingerie which is extremely low cut to reveal much of her chest. Her favorite color appears to be red and she often wears stocking and garter with them. She also likes high stiletto type pumps with her outfits. Early on, she realized that sex helps quite a bit in selling her music.

Character Background:


Roxanne does not know much about her parents, only having few fragmented memories of them. What happened to them is unclear. They might have been killed or they might have dumped her on the streets themselves. It is hard to know what actually happened to her and she seems to have blocked any memories of what might have happened.


Her first clear memories, probably from around six years old, are that of being on the streets. She was dressed in rags and always hungry. Already, she was picking pockets and stealing for survival even though she was never able to really do well enough to more than squeak by. Roxanne did what she had to survive with wits and craftiness substituting for real skills.


It was around eight or so years old that she became a member of a gang. In a gang, she did much better than she did on her own. A sense of comradery was in many ways the most important though. Other advantages were that there were others to help and they often protected each other. She learned much about how to be a better thief from the older children of the gang. Another role for the younger children was to act as spies for the older members when they were doing jobs themselves.


In the gang, she learned how to fight and defend herself. Her favorite weapons were energy pistols which she grew skilled at using two at the same time. She found that most engagements were close enough that she did not need anything longer ranged. As well, some fights involved and she learned to fight that was as well. Gangs often had to fight against other gangs for turf or other reasons. Drug selling is the cornerstone of some gangs, something she never really got involved much in. As well, she only ever got involved in the use of drugs.


It was in the gang that she began her interest in music. She had not much experience with it before then but when the gang was just hanging out, they often listened to music. She began singing to the music and from the very beginning she showed promise. Roxanne began intensifying her practice and began collecting pre-Rifts music. Her dreams were that of singing on a stage.


With her intelligence, one of the older gang members began teaching her the arts of computer hacking. In many ways, hacking is safer although not always. It does not usually involve the hacker to become directly involved. Of course one has to always be careful. Learning the art of hacking also involved learning how to read and write. This had the advantage of being able to learn sheet music.


Her interest in music continued to bloom. When she was sixteen, she became to actual perform on stage. She was steadily getting less and less into the gang life. Much of the gang she had started with was dead from fights. The problem is that it is really hard to escape from a gang. As such, she decided that the best option would be to simply leave the city for another one.
