Age: 36. Race: Human. Sex: Female.

Disposition:

Robyn has sad demeanor although tries to hide it and tries to minimize it. Even so, she is not really suicidal. The reason why she is depressed is that she lost the love of her life as well as the child she was carrying. Has never been able to fully recover. As a result of her loss, she has virtually withdrawn from human society to live in the wilderness. Even so, she is not a complete hermit and will converse with travelers and help them if she sees they need help and if she is able. It is likely that she will eventually decide to rejoin society.

Has made herself as self reliant as possible and is capable of supporting herself. Although she is not a woodsman as much as many rangers, her elemental abilities allow her to survive better than she would otherwise. One should not consider her to live miserably and lives reasonable comfortable.

Before her husband and child died, she was much more involved in social matters and was involved in various intrigues even. In the past, she used to be quite active sexually although becmae completely devoted to her husband. While she was generally a good person, she did believe that the ends justified the means which some might be uncomfortable. Always has been a bit on the irreverent side and has little regard for gods. Does enjoy the company of elemental beings however and will not abuse elemental beings.

One tactic she does use in some cases is to summon a elemental spark in the form of a mud mound and use a bit of the mystical energy to summon another. Can use this to summon a large number of creatures. Also likes to use the ability to create quicksand traps.

Robyn’s History:

Robyn was born the daughter of Valera Arian, a prostitute in the Land of the South Winds in one of the coastal cities. Her mother was a bit higher in status than most prostitutes although oen could really consider her to be a courtesan. Although she never stated it definitively, Robyn’s mother hinted very strong that her father was a fairly important local noble. Robyn was a very pretty child and her mother decided to train her to go into the same profession when she got to be older. She wanted for her daughter to be more than she had been and traded services for her daughter to learn the skills of dancing, singing, and playing a musical instrument so that she could become a courtesan not a simple prostitute.

The young girl first started entertaining men when she was just twelve years old. She was considered very attractive and skillful. She was able to make excellent money and was able to support both herself and her mother quite well. One of the gentlemen who engaged her service frequently was the lord who her mother had suggested was actually her father. He liked his female company quite young but was simply business to her. As one might surmise, he was one of the wealthiest individuals in the area and both payed quite well and gave expensive gifts to females who could entertain him.

Even though she was doing quite well financially, something just seemed to be wrong to her. There appeared to be another path which she should be following. At first, she thought it might be a call to religion but she was never a very religious individual. Her mother talked a bit about her beliefs but heart never really seemed to be truly involved and could not help either. At that point, a powerful lady Earth Warlock was traveling through the area and sensed something in her. One might call it a deep down call to the Elements of the Earth.

The lady Earth Warlock ambushed her at her home to persuade her that her true calling was that of an Earth Warlock. She also offered to guide her down the path of Earth Magic. Something just clicked for Robyn and she decided to accept and left with the Earth Warlock never to return to her home. The lady Earth Warlock was named Ambyre Menorica and became Robyns mentor in many things other than just magic. Robyn and Ambyre became like mother and daughter. As well as mastery of the elements, she also learned history, multiple languages, and how to fight with a quarterstaff so that she would not be totally dependent on her magic.

As in all paths in true magic, the training was long and arduous but eventually Robyn became a full fledged Warlock. At that point in time, Robyn, like many journeyman before her, decide that adventuring would be the best way to increase her knowledge. So she said goodbye to her friend and teacher and departed for the world. It was soon after she left that she rescued a squire named Puston Toron. It was like love at first sight and within a couple of years they decided to get married. They adventured together for years. She became a powerful Earth Warlock and he had become a very skilled warrior.

After years of travel, they had decided to retire from adventuring and start a family. They had made an agreement with the nobility and has set themselves as lesser nobility in the borders of the Eastern Territory. A group of bandits and Puston decided that he needed to deal with the bandits himself. Robyn was about four months pregnant and they decide together that she would stay in the keep. He was ambushed and killed by the bandits. She blamed herself, her thoughts being that if she had been there, she could have stopped the bandits. She later also found out that bandits were actually sent by another local noble who was attempting to take over her lands.

Things just when down hill. The stress of her husband’s death caused her to miscarry her child. As well, she could come up with no proof that the other noble had sent the bandits to attack He had some powerful friends in court and was able to claim ownership to her lands and she was left without property. As sound as she recovered from her miscarriage, she decided to retreat into the wilderness. She helps a set of adventures fight a necromancer and as a result, got the necromancer’s magic staff.
