Erika is a mercenary and more important a female warrior. She does not fight generally without a profit or to protect her own life. There are exceptions like those who are in need but fighting for fun does not hold any interest for her. That does not mean that she does not feel a fire or a fierce joy when in the middle of battle. She can be extremely ruthless in battle and against her enemies in general. That is not to say that she will kill While in the south and aboard ship, Erika usually wears leather armor, she prefers the heavier protection of chain mail.
The woman is a fun loving type, loving to party and is a bit wild. While she likes to drink, she prefers to stay under control. There are few things she loves as much as having a man between her legs. As a mercenary, she always careful because a certain amount of distrust comes with the territory. She does not take advantage of people unnecessarily herself and will not betray an ally.

Appearance:
Erika is classic northern in features (Nordic in Earth parlance) with long golden blond hair which hangs down to the middle of her back. She often ties her hair in a pair of twin braids. The warrior's eyebrows also are a golden blond. Between them is a slim nose and she has sky blue eyes. Her skin is fairly pale and she wears little in the way of cosmetics. She is extremely muscular although is still slender and has a feminine figure with visible breast. Even though She longs strong and tough, she still quite attractive.
Erika prefers chain mail, especially double chain, over leather armor but realizes it can be a danger onboard a ship and can cause overheating in more southern climates. As well, she is more used to wearing a heavy tunic and leggings, usually wool with a heavy cloak. Of course this is simply too hot in more southern climates and she wears lighter clothing. She prefers light blue cloths and a darker blue cloak. She prefers to pin her cloak at the shoulder and usually wears a heavy belt. She also usually wears leather bracers.

Erika's History:


Erika was born in a small fishing village on the northern coast. Under the control of the Byzantium Kingdom, it was a constant struggle for the people there to survive. The land was attacked by various creatures from the inland areas as well as from the seas themselves. Some were mortal creatures but others were supernatural creatures. It did not help that the land was extremely rocky to farm and that catches were less than expected. It is quite likely that the village would have to be abandoned within a few decades at best.


Erika's father was a fisherman. From what she was told, her grandfather was also a fisherman but he died long before her birth. When Erika was just a little girl, her father was killed in one of the raids and from then on she was raised only by her mother along with her two brothers. Life was even tougher after then for Erika and as she got older, she had to learn how to fight to help defend the village. There were simply not enough able bodied men in the village and woman had to learn to fight as well. She learned surprisingly quickly and knew that she had a gift for it.


Her favorite weapon was the axe. While skilled in the use of a sword and shield, she always preferred the heavier axe with its ability to penetrate armor. She managed to scavenge a suit of chain mail from a group of creatures which attacked the village and the blacksmith was able to fit the armor to her.


The girl did not want to spend her whole life in a dying village. While she liked the company of men, she did not have any interest in settling down. She also knew that her fighting skills would enable her to fight positions in other places. Instead, she embarked onboard a boat heading for the main islands of the Byzantium Kingdom. She traded her chain mail for a suit of studded leather although she still preferred the heavier protection of the metal armor. Still, studded leather would allow her to swim if swept over the side or due to a ship wreck. From there, she went on, embarking on a ship going south. Her skills a sailor as well as a mercenary allowed her to get positions aboard vessels which other mercenaries could not.


While onboard the ship, she learned how to read and write. As well, she learned several new languages because of the mixed nature of many of the crews. She was amazed at how warm it was in the southern oceans. Her old woolen clothing were incredibly hot.


She ended up on a ship in the Sea of the Scarlet Waters. The ship was smuggling goods. She was not told but she likely would not have cared. Maybe the Captain did not bribe the right official in Lower Barraduk. What the reason was, the ship was chased down by a Western Empire Naval Vessel and seized. Of course the ship and all goods were confiscated but instead of wasting the effort, the crew was exiled to the Baalgor Wasteland.
