Daewoo DP51 / DH40 / DH45 [Automatic Pistol]:

The Daewoo DP51 is a semi-automatic pistol manufactured in South Korea. Daewoo produces multiple products including automobiles. The DP51 fires the 9 mm Parabellum round with the DH40 and DH45 being similar although they fire .40 Caliber S&W and .45 ACP respectively. There is also a combact version of the DP51.

The pistol uses delayed blowback instead of the relatively more common recoil action of most automatic pistols. Other pistols which use the delayed blowback include the H&K P-7 Series and the Vector CP-1. The pistol has a special Tri-Action trigger pull which provides the pistol with the same trigger pull with the hammer down as most single action automatics. The pistol has a ambidexerous safety.

The Daewoo DP51 has a thirteen shot magazine, the Daewoo DH40 has an eleven round magazine, and the Daewoo DH45 has an eight round magazine.

The DP51 is designed primarily for military and police use. It is the standard sidearm of the South Korean armed forces. The DH40 is popular with South Korean Police and the DH45 is popular with Republic of Korea Officers, Special Forces, Marines, and Rangers.
